Well, it's been more than three weeks since my last post and the oil is still pouring out of the ocean floor. The spill has reached land and is ruining the beaches and marshes of the gulf states. BP is doing too little, too late. No amount of money can restore the livelyhoods of the shoreline residents. Politicians on the take have brought this country to it's knees and there is no end in sight. We are on our own. We MUST reduce, resuse, and recycle. There is no other way. There is no such thing as sustainable growth. Please stop the unbridled consumption! If not for yourself, then for your children and grandchildren.

The longer the oil spoils the gulf coast the higher the losses and costs will climb. There is no time to lose. All able bodies that are not currently working need to go to the southern states and start working to clean up the mess. By doing this, the restaurants and hotels can continue to operate, thus preventing further loss and waste.

Why are we continually bombarded by utter ignorance. Oh yeah, I keep forgetting, sheer greed! It is time we demand a common sense approach to the management of our republic (whatever that means) and start working together toward a common good.

Right now, that common good is the clean up of the BP spill. This message needs to get to the president and the people in charge of the clean up.
